Wine Is A Flowered Beauquet
Spring has sprung! The forest is ablaze with colors! The dogwoods are profuse in our woods, and the lovely
rhododendron, just outside the winery, shows great promise. As we go into a new season we
have high hopes for a bountiful year. Late freezes in 2001 have caused some reduction in
last year's harvest. However, we feel that we have some very nice wines coming on line.
You, our friends, who have found us in the past, and return year after year, are cherished
by us, and we certainly look forward to seeing you again this coming season. We also eargerly
await making the acquaintance of new friends who will cross our threshold.
Last year we lost our beloved and noble canine champion, Goetz. But rest assured, we now
have Rudy to greet you and make you welcome. He is in charge of Public Relations.
Come, enjoy a pleasant visit and smell the flowers along with us, because, as Werumeus Buning so adroitly said,
"Wine is the flower in the buttonhole of civilization." Until we meet again we will be
waiting for you.
